Storm Related Water Damage in Exeter
The rainwater from the storm was too much for the gutters and the negative slope of the grounds to contain. The flow into the lower level of this Exeter property wicked into the walls and under the vinyl floor tiles. The ruined drywall was cut out which decreased the drying time without this additional moisture. The opened walls also allowed the studs to dry quicker and not suffer ongoing water damage and weakening. Our SERVPRO crew strategically placed air movers and LGR low grain refrigerated dehumidifiers throughout the flooded area to hasten the evaporation and elimination of moisture and water. It took some days, but the dampness was eliminated from the structure, the zone was disinfected, and it was "Like it never even happened."
