Portsmouth Stormed Damaged Commercial Building

Driving rains and swollen creeks can cause a lot of havoc to the interior of commercial buildings in the Portsmouth area. The Before Photo is a work in progress of drying out the structure to mitigate secondary water damage to materials not moistened by the groundwater. A flood cut is needed to eliminate the contaminated, non-salvageable drywall and baseboards. With the interior framing exposed, the drying with flat lay conduits, air movers, and dehumidifiers can within days reduce the RH relative humidity to normal levels. With such a high number of electrical devices, SERVPRO techs can use distribution boxes, like the one to the right front of the Before Photo to not overload any circuits. A flood does not need to be paired with an electrical fire! Spraying the studs and framing with an antimicrobial products offers protection against mold development and readies the structure for a rebuild.
